about

Unlike many other mixtapes, where various tracks can be randomly thrown together, this joint-project brings a level of cohesion, with all the tracks coming from one of Europe’s top underground producers, fLako, as a remix to his beat tape: "The First Space Shit on the Moon" (myspace.com/flakomusic). As fLako’s production spans futuristic sounds to classic drums, Kit Knows shows a diverse range of musicality throughout the tape in his songwriting, singing, and rapping. The aptly dubbed “re-mixtape” also features Toronto rappers Roshin of Notes To Self (of BBE Records- notestoself.net), Fundament (fundament.bandcamp.com), and Juno nominated D-Sisive (aboyinaroom.com).

“The album’s a spacey romp through Detroit-inspired beats like the minimal, staccato backdrop on Free Radicals and the idiosyncratic posse cut The Up Wind. Kit’s articulation, delivery and wordplay are consistently strong, and he retains a distinctively Canadian inflection. Most importantly, Kit proves he can make a fine album on his own while still maintaining a familial dynamic on those co-op tracks.”
